UPDATE
Colleagues,
The timing of the seminar below is of course very difficult for those in Australia, New Zealand and the west coast of the USA and Canada. After some discussion with colleagues in those areas, we have agreed, as an experiment, to arrange an extra Q and A session for 10.00pm UK time on Monday December 7th. This should be between 8 and 10am on Tuesday morning in Australasia, and somewhere between 3.00 and 6.00 pm on Monday in the US and Canada. The idea is that those who attend would watch the recordings of the seminar first and come along with their questions for Prof Kareem. I have thus set up the following registration link.

The way this link has been set up (if I have done it correctly) will require me to approve an individual’s registration before they are sent the link. Whilst anyone is at liberty to register provisionally, I will assess the registrants around December 1st, and give priority to those from the above regions, as I think this event will work best if the numbers are quite small.
I hope this all makes sense

Colleagues,
The third in the series of international seminars organised by the University of Birmingham and sponsored by the IAWE, will take place on Thursday 3rd December 2020 at 12.00 noon UK time. The seminar is entitled “Modelling the Dynamics of Tall Buildings Under Winds: From Historical Perspective to Recent Advances and Beyond”. The main speaker will be Prof Ahsan Kareem, of the NatHaz Modelling Laboratory, University of Notre, USA. This will be followed by a panel discussion with four experts in the field and there will also be an opportunity for delegates to ask questions.
The registration link for the seminar can be found here.
